Nicki’s Diapers has teamed up with Jake’s Diapers again to help get cloth diapers on the bottoms of children around the world who need them. Eden is a young child in India who recently benefited from a Jake’s Diapers donation. Her foster mom sent this note of thanks:
Hello! I am attaching pictures of Eden, one of the little girls wearing cloth diapers that we got in our most recent shipment from you.
Eden is 1.5 years old and is fully blind (bilateral anophthalmia) and profoundly deaf. Eden is a candidate for cochlear implants and later this month (Feb 20) she is having surgery to receive bilateral cochlear implants. We are excited to see how this is going to change Eden’s life! Eden is one of our children that we just recently transitioned over to cloth diapers. She is not yet fully sponsored, so this means that we don’t have enough money coming in to care for all her needs.
Being able to save money on disposable diapers (which are expensive!) means that we can pay for Eden’s other needs without going into debt at the end of the month or without falling short and not being able to give her all we want. Eden is a silly girl who likes doing “yoga” – posing upside down on the floor and kicking her legs around! Please pray for her as she heads into surgery, that there will be no infection and that the surgery will be successful so Eden will be able to hear for the first time! We are so grateful to everyone who has provided cloth diapers to SCH so that we can better care for Eden and the other little ones she lives with.
This fall Hope, Love, Care partnered with Jake’s Diapers, a local Wisconsin non-profit, to help them provide diapers for babies and children in need across the United States and world. Each time Jake’s Diapers receives an application for a “Diaper Drop” they begin planning based on the specific needs of the children at that location. For each Diaper Drop, suitcases are packed with cloth diaper resources such as covers, prefolds, inserts, cloth wipes, and wet bags and personally delivered to the organization in need.
Stephanie Bowers, co-founder and President of Jake’s Diapers, had the following to say about the work they do. “Each application we receive for another Diaper Drop brings tears to our eyes. It is our hope and prayer that one by one, we will make a difference. It can be overwhelming, but we choose to help those we can, one cloth diaper at a time.”
This fall, in addition to donating many items to Jake’s Diapers, Nicki’s Diapers were also able to raise $1000 through the auction of Jack, Jill, and Orange Spooky. One of Jake’s Diapers fundraising events was a diaper gala. As attendees entered the gala, they will welcomed with a Diaper Packing Station. Attendees helped pack kits, like the ones pictures below, for U.S. recipients.

We are thankful that Nicki’s Diapers Buy 1, Give 1 program has allowed us to donate baby necessity items, such as diapers, blankets and baby bottles, to babies in need domestically and overseas this year. Here are a few “Thank You’s” Hope, Love, Care has received this year for donations the program has made.
Nicki and her mom, Virgie, traveled to China last week to visit an orphanage and donate much-needed items. They stopped by the factory to oversee production of the Nicki’s Diapers Buy 1, Give 1 products and were able to bring necessities directly from the facility to the babies who need them.
In fact, the donation from us inspired donations of baby socks and rice from the factory itself! Talk about spreading the love!
We are so excited that the Buy 1, Give 1 program is off to a great start!
With the help of our sponsors we continue to be able to donate diapers all around the world. The images below are some Imagine Baby Products diapers that were donated to an orphanage in Africa.
“OH MY GOODNESS! Thank you so, so much for all of the diapers! I am blown away! You have no idea (sorry, maybe you do) how much this is going to bless this orphanage and these precious little ones! I pray you are all richly blessed for your kindness!”
